The enemies don't change. There isn't one adversary that is simpler or more difficult to kill than the next. Sure brand-new alien adversaries are introduced later on in the game and you'll either slip past them or squander an entire clip on them. The adversary AI is sporadic at best. In case you're not cloaked, you're spotted. Duration. The opponents are limited in each location so there is a finite amount to secure, but if one sees you they ALL understand specifically where you are even if you're masked. They are easily triggered as well. If you look at one with your scope wrong they all see you. Take one out in a place you thought was hidden and no person would discover the body, you're dead incorrect.

The bow that they offer you primarily of the game is superb (It rather literally drops anything it hits with one arrow); however you can only carry 9 arrows (plus 3 extra of exploding kinds each). The exploding arrows are terrific for making a grenade stick to a wall. Unfortunately when you're found, the bow is relatively useless. Might have been a truly cool addition to the game. After all, the bow in Far Cry 3 is the very best damn weapon in that game. You cannot make it through any Senior Scrolls without a bow. The list goes on. Also regrettable: the guns in this game likewise all feel pretty much the same and work practically the same. They're all automatic rifles. They all have the same upgrades: silencer, scope, extended mag. The only distinctions being just how much ammo one holds over the other.

One point that attracted me to the game was that it was advertised as kind of a sandbox/open world surrounding. It's in fact EXCEPTIONALLY LINEAR! The only means to progress through the game is progress, activate switch, progress, activate switch and so on. As a matter of fact, the suit upgrades are hidden throughout the game (instead of made), and if you move with an area without unlocking the upgrade in that location you missed out. My most significant beef with the upgrades though is that they don't truly alter the game at all. As all of us know, updating your character has actually become a big part of games, and even more so are those update game changers. Games play in a different way when certain upgrades appear. This one not so much. So even if you miss out on an upgrade since they are concealed in linear environment you didn't miss out on much.

You play a status named Prophet, yet he understands definitely nothing at all about anything. He's primarily a device with human thoughts (sounds familiar?). Psycho is a British rebel attempting to help you. Surprisingly he understands everything there is to understand about the opponents. He understands the lay outs of their bases along with ways to penetrate new areas (sound familiar?). He's armed with a sniper rifle yet never as soon as shoots it. He conceals till you've cleared each area despite the fact that he's perched to snipe additional showing his uselessness. What makes these 2 characters worse is that Psycho does not stop talking through the whole game and Prophet just keeps asking questions and discussing visions he has although he's technically a robot. Before Prophet shows up, it's just Psycho and his rebel military. They have all the Intel in the world on the opponent and are well armed but for a few factor they are waiting on you and your bow.

Overall, you can take on the game in a two methods (sneaky, or run and weapon) but be gotten ready for a travel from A to B points drag. Because that's exactly how it seems: like a drag. I was delighted for it, however bummed when I played it. The adversaries don't change and are frustratingly linked to each other. The character is flat. I could not give a damn whether he lives or dies (technically the character isn't actually alive or dead or human). Psycho, the other personality in the game, is simply a tired cliché of sidekicks that apparently understands all the ins and outs and the exact set out of all the bases, of the adversary but is powerless to do anything other than obstruct. There are cut scenes and they are LONG. Get the cut scenes and you'll get at least 4 hours of game play before you get burnt out.


Exactly what makes the game OK and not much else is that it's gorgeous and the controls recognize territory. The visuals and setting are wonderful. The game plays like prior titles from other designers so you don't feel so lost or like you're attempting to button mash your method with things. Effectively taking down an adversary calmly or stealthily feels so damn satisfying because it is damn near difficult to do without standing out. So my first 4 hours were OKAY with this game. Then I put it down. Possibly for good since it's just kind of uninteresting and fixed. Things you see in the trailer that resemble a great deal of fun (like jumping from a dam, clicking a remote for dynamites to blow said dam and opponent helicopters, and hitching a zip line to security) are in fact cut scenes.
